Teaching Technology at CityGolf Walpole

By PGA Director of Instruction, Brian Spitz

In the age of technology, golf instruction has definitely latched onto more technological based teaching aids. You have video analysis, 3-D analysis, high tech launch monitors, in-swing balance measurements, and others. At CityGolf Walpole, we have all those technologies at our finger tips. We use Dartfish video software to analyze your golf swing and upload to the web for your viewing at any time.

For the 3-D analysis, we have the K-Vest. The K-Vest utilizes 3 sensors strategically placed on the hips, shoulders, and hands. These sensors measure rotations, front/back bend, and right to left tilt in the hips and shoulders. The great aspect of the K-Vest is the real time feedback for training purposes. When you are in the correct position with the certain sensor the area turns green and music starts playing. For K-vest information go to: www.k-vest.com

The in-swing balance is measured by the Dynamic Balance System. The DBS uses four sensors under the feet to measure your center of gravity throughout your golf swing. It has great feedback for training the proper weight shift through the golf swing.
To learn more about the DBS: www.sportsbalance.com

Everything we do in teaching golf relates to feel. We, as coaches, are trying to get our students to train differently, practice differently, and make changes in your golf swing to play better. CityGolf Walpole is on the cutting edge of technology to help you play better golf. In fact, CityGolf members on average lower their handicap by 30%.
